Brian Ward is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of DocRx, as well as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Since founding DocRx in 2008, he has led the company to become one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States, serving thousands of physicians, practices, pharmacies, and hospitals nationwide.
Prior to establishing DocRx, Mr. Ward held significant roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including Regional Manager of Hospital Divisions at AstraZeneca and Innovex from 1997 to 2008. He earned a Marketing Degree from Louisiana State University in 1996, where he also played college football for the LSU Tigers.
With over two decades of experience, Brian has been instrumental in founding and developing more than seven healthcare companies. His extensive experience spans pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, practice management companies, clinics, and hospitals, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape.
Mr. Ward is renowned for his ability to anticipate industry trends, identify underserved niches, and create leading companies. He collaborates with industry thought leaders and continues to play a pivotal role in transforming healthcare delivery. In 2010, Brian was honored as one of Mobile’s “Top 40 under 40” executives, recognizing his professional excellence, community service, and leadership.
Brian oversees various aspects of DocRx, including consulting, sales, marketing, alliances and channels, and support. He is also responsible for national business units that cater to specific markets and industries, such as dispensing, diagnostic testing, wholesale manufactured products, injections, compounds, supplies, pharmacy wholesaling, and hospital products.
In addition to his role at DocRx, Mr. Ward serves on the Board of Directors of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce. He is also an active member of the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, and the Mobile Alabama Touchdown Club, and has served on numerous youth football and baseball boards in the Mobile area.
